Why this blog?

I’ve come to the conclusion that I’m really nothing but a big ball of race and gender bouncing around the Western Hemisphere. True, I do more than exhibit my phenotype as I travel, but never do my race or my gender fail to influence my experiences and relationships. Colombia to Maine, its always white girl does this, white girl does that. So, if you’re interested in hearing a white girl’s musing on the implications of race and gender on her life, follow along!
